It unifies standards and rules so that electronic payments are processed in a harmonized manner across all participating countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_SEPA_transactions\"><\/span><b>Types of SEPA transactions<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the SEPA area, there are several types of payments that allow moving euros between bank accounts under uniform conditions, both domestically and internationally:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h3><b>Standard SEPA transfers<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most common type of payment for sending or receiving euros between accounts in different SEPA member countries using a standard IBAN. These transfers are usually processed within<\/span><b> one business day<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h3><b>SEPA instant transfers<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also known as SEPA Instant Credit Transfer, these allow funds to be transferred <\/span><b>within seconds<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, available <\/span><b>24\/7 throughout the year<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including weekends and holidays, provided that participating banks support it.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">\n<h3><b>SEPA direct debits<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This type of transaction allows a business or provider to <\/span><b>collect payments directly from a customer\u2019s bank account<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, provided prior authorization has been given.
